Dr. Jiya Verma – Doctor, Cessna Lifeline Veterinary Hospital, Gurugram M.V. Sc. with specialization in Pathology “My grandparents had seven pet dogs at a time and I grew up hearing their stories. My parents’ dog was a year older than me and my brother would tease me that our Pomeranian, Cartoon, was my real brother.”

Dr. Jiya did her Bachelors in 2019 and Masters from G.B. Pant University in Uttarakhand in 2022. During her post- graduation, she interned at a clinic in her hometown during the lockdown. Interestingly, it was through Instagram that she found Cessna Lifeline and hence applied. She joined the hospital shortly after graduating in March 2022. Dr. Jiya spends most of her time working in the OPD, IPD and laboratory. When she gets some time, she also learns about Neurology and Surgical procedures. “I am very grateful to Dr. Pawan and Dr. Amruthanand for acquainting me with the practical exposure of what we learnt in college and much more. I have always wanted to work with a leading practice and Cessna Lifeline is one of the best in India.” “Here, at Cessna Lifeline the focus is always on learning, improvement and providing the best care for pets”, she says recalling the words of Dr. Pawan, “Learning shouldn’t stop”, which she really appreciates. Soon, Dr. Jiya intends to further advance her knowledge in neurology and diagnostics as she feels these are intriguing and rewarding fields with vast potential. She would like to see more facilities like Cessna Lifeline coming up across India along with more specializations amongst doctors even in non- metropolitan cities and government hospitals. She admires the clients of Cessna Lifeline who she feels are very dedicated and sentient about their pet’s wellbeing. During her free time, she loves to read novels, sketch and take care of her plants. She is a big enthusiast about travelling.
